White Spots on Tonsils: Amazing Natural Remedy

Hello  Milton here,

White spots on tonsils:  I have always wondered what those “crumbs” on my tonsils were from the time I was a little boy.  I’m a picker-I pick at everything trying to figure things out…pimples, grey hair, yes-my nose, and my tonsils too if they happen to have something in them.  I’ve always known it wasn’t food and  at that age I had NO idea what it could be, and wasn’t old enough to be worried about it.  So, I never told anyone about it.

Hey before you get carried away with my story,  you may:

 Click here for the Amazing Natural Remedy Guide that helped me finally get rid of  tonsil stones for good and brought fresh breathe to my life!

I think it was in my teens when I felt some of this white stuff was like stuck at the back of my throat.  I decided to use my finger to squish it. Immediate advice: If you want to smell something truly foul and I mean jerk-your -head back in revulsion foul squish these white spots on tonsils between your fingers like I did and smell! It made my breathe stink.  I then went to the doctor with a sore throat, and asked him what was going on back there, and he passed me off with antibiotics. I finished the three week course of antibiotics, still sore and the white lumps started appearing and asked the doctor what was going on in my mouth?! the doctor didn’t know what they were.

In desperation I then resorted to the internet to find answers.. ”Googled” till the cows came home … Before getting to the cure, I found out that they were tonsil stones with others referring to them as cryptic tonsils, tonsilloliths or tonsiliths. I also discovered that more people get tonsil stones than you would think.  I have 5 friends I can name off the top of my head that have had them at one time or another.  Because it is such a disgusting problem to have, and because it is scary to think about when you don’t know what they are, people who do have them keep it to themselves.  None of the 5 friends would have said anything about it if I had not initiated the conversation about the tonsil stones.  They were relieved when I let them know that tonsil stones are actually common, and very rarely a sign of more serious problems.  To me they were an annoyance that I had learnt to live with because the tonsil stones cause bad breathe.

On the worst of days,  I couldn’t even breathe next to a person for fear of bad breath. In a crowded elevator, I had to hold my breath for like 2 minutes (I became  skilled at holding my breath!). These white spots on tonsils became the bane of my life.

With time I became an expert in how to dislodge tonsile stones, and usually wouldn’t know they were there until they dislodged themselves and came out on their own. Tired of coughing up tonsil stones I began entertaining the idea of having my tonsils removed completely through tonsillectomy (surgery for removal of tonsils). My longing for fresh breathe  was pushing me to this. Are you also leaning toward tonsillectomy? Well if you are… sit-up and read why I  did not go through it My thinking was once my tonsils  were removed then I  will NOT  experience tonsil stones. However this does NOT mean that I was to run out and get my tonsils removed.  I was told that as we get older, tonsillectomies become increasingly dangerous,  but aside from that, even if you have your tonsils removed, you will most likely still have bad breath! Why is that? You see, the sulfur producing bacteria breeding beneath the surface of your tongue (which are integral to creation of those tonsil stones) are also the most likely candidates to cause bad breath! So, even if  tonsils are removed, unless you remove or hinder these anaerobic bacteria, friends or family would still exhibit those tell-tale signs that YOU have bad breath! (i.e. offering you gum, twitching at their nose etc.). One stupid thought was “cut your tongue!”  Such had been my debilitating social life that I had such a crazy thought. If ever there was a cure for this  I was determined to find it. Indeed I finally found the cure and it changed my life  forever -my tongue is still intact and I have fresh breath. What is the cure?  you may be wondering.. I’ll tell you more about my life before being tonsil stones free first. But for those of us with curiosity-I mean major curiosity… promise me you will read the rest of the story despite knowing the cure.

OK you can now  Click here for the tonsil stone remedy that changed my life.

I was also reminded that tonsils act as a barrier to protect our throat against bacteria and viruses.  Our throat area comprises of the “Waldeyer’s Ring”, consisting tonsils, adenoids, and several kinds of lymphoid tissues. This tonsillar ring protects foreign bodies from entering our pharynx and helps in avoiding common infections related to the throat.  And following tonsillectomy, one risks a chance to catch debris.  Nevertheless, the tonsils will grow back. Hence, I was told surgery was not a permanent way to alleviate my problems. Though once a popular treatment, tonsillectomy is now considered by several healthcare professionals only in rare cases.

With no answers I continued with my search for a remedy. One day, “googling” as usual,  I came across this guide with a natural home remedy, that claimed  to get rid of tonsil  stones forever within a week!  I was skeptical initially but I got the biggest surprise once I tried it. It took me 8 days though to get rid of my tonsil stones and not the 7 days that was stated in the book.  What the heck! – I am now smelling  fresh , no more tactical dislodging of tonsil stones or coughing them out. It however pains me to relate this now given my years of suffering in silence yet out there was a solution.

I hope my story on these white spots on tonsils will motivate  you and bring fresh breathe to your life!!

Causes and Symptoms of Tonsil Stones

Causes of Tonsil Stones: Our tonsils are gland like structures at the back part of the throat. The tonsils help catch bacteria and viruses that are present in the mouth and therefore prevent them from causing any infection. On the surface of these tonsils  we have divots or small pockets known as tonsil crypts. The soft tissue lining of thes tonsil crypts mix with saliva. Since saliva contains digestive enzymes, trapped food in the tonsil crypts begins to break down. The starch or carbohydrates part of the food melts away combining with mucus and bacteria. This then becomes concrentrated, hardens and calcify to form a tonsil stone. Another term used for this condition is cryptic tonsils, as these stones take root in tonsil crypts. Tonsil stones are usually small in size but may even be large in size.  They are also seen as white spots on tonsils at the back of  throat  and roof of the mouth if one were to use a flashlight to look closely. This white debris  at the back of throat gives the  feeling of  something being stuck there.

Tonsil stones or tonsiliths are therefore any combination of the following:

  • oral bacteria
  • hyperactive salivary glands
  • mucus deposits
  • Trapped food

Bad breathe:   Now tonsil stones is a major factor for your bad breathe, but if you have bad breathe that doesn’t necessarily mean you have tonsil stones. Even after brushing our teeth after mealsl and using mouthwash, the bad rotten egg odour tends to come back to our mouth after an hour or so. This is because the tonsil stone that continues to develop strengthens the odour of your breath.

Symptoms of  Tonsil Stones:

Smaller stones may bring no effect to your life,  larger tonsil stones will bring a certain level  of negativity to your life, the more known  symptoms of tonsil stones that you can do a self-check on are listed below:

  • Foul Smell: Larger tonsil stones are prone to emiting foul smell and this eventually causes bad breathe (techncally referred to as Halitosis). Thefoul breath could be a sign that a person is affected with tonsil stones . In general if suphur compunds are present in the individual’s breath it could be a good indication that the person has tonsil stones. However( asstated earlier) bad breath alone can not be attributed to  tonsiliths/tonsil stones but it can be one of the reasons.
  • Yellowish-white spots/lumps seen at back of throat
  • Usually comes with tonsil infection
  • Sore throat which could be accompanied with swallowing difficulties
  • Really bad taste at the back of throat or roof of mouth
  • Swollen Tonsils or buldged tonsils due to inflammation
  • Ear pain or itch: These stones may also cause ear ache due to the connected nerveways .

White Spots on Tonsils

Hey Milton here,

White Spots on Tonsils: What are these?  That is the same question that I had when I noticed that as I moved my tongue I felt something poking against it from my right tonsil. I thought it was a piece of food so I looked closely using a flashlight and found an off-white piece of something sticking out of my tonsil.  I applied pressure and the stuff popped releasing a foul smell.

The white spots/patches on tonsils are technically tonsil stones and also go by tonsilloliths, cryptic tonsils, tonsiliths,  stinking little balls and many more names out there we have not heard of.  The good news about these white spots is that they are harmless and nothing to worry about physically besides giving a bad breath! This is annoying and apparrently fairly common and not many people talk about it because quite simply- it STINKS.

In my upcoming posts I will take you through:

- More detail on what these white spots are;

-Why we get them;

-and more importantly share with you my efforts to rid these white like balls  of plaque that were lodged on my tonsils and how I finally  bumped into the tonsil stone remedy guide that completely and forever rid that stinking breath that had dogged my life for years.
